IT Innovators, a start up company in India proposes this project “Ready-to-use business units” that is quiet a

new concept in the business world. This innovation is meant to help start up companies in their early stage to

start their business quickly by having a ready to use company and can focus improve their core services. This

new concept will help small and home based business to serve their customers in better way, reduced self-

help and providing an aid without compromise on quality and also being economical. The proposed “Ready-

to-use business units” typically consists of an individual unit shelf company with general business and QA in

place (ISO, CMMI, and COBIT). They are typically to be priced in the range $5,000 to $10,000 based on the

features, customisation and level of quality standards in place. Initially we plan to have prototype units that

have all the features of a working office except the actual premises. These office features, processes can

easily be adapted to the real office premise that will be owned by the owner. This unit can be purchased in

full or use franchisee model. Details of the features are provided in the following sections.

Why a need of new solution offering? As the world economy is bracing towards another Industrial revolution, riding the roller coaster of uncertain

job market, depreciation of human values, appreciation of criminal mindset due to shortage and

unavailability of resources for the mass humanity. Adding to this loss of assets, currency de-valuation,

increased debt and ever changing needs of technology savvy clients, there is a need to realize self potential

and generate real value for self sustenance and livelihood. During such crisis, there is a need to come out of

the efforts like job applications that lead to nowhere but all efforts gone in vain and some criminal is most

likely to be hired, appraised and promoted at the cost of the perfectly most suitable applicant like you.

Where will you go from here? Why don’t you think of competing with such corporate, by getting all that is

inside the corporate world, equip self with all the official setup similar to that of the corporate world,

however you are going to be the owner and boss of your corporate.

With the above background, we at IT Innovators, propose a plan and a business model for “Ready-to-use

business units” that is most likely appeal you, unless you are one of the lucky chosen son / daughter of the

corporate world where merit, truth, reality has taken back seats starting several decades ago during

recession. Our plan is to empower you so that the office setup and the quality procedures you were getting

in the corporate world will remain the same. We will make you comfortable with a setup that is pre qualified

with the ISO: 9001, CMMI – Level 3, COBIT and ITIL standards. What you get is the Shelf Company that you

can either buy and run on your own or take up a franchise with us so that we provide assistance in setting up

optional details like sales, project deals, marketing, management support, financial accounting and

international marketing.

As there are lots of individuals in the world who are deprived of job even though they have the talent and

higher qualifications than those chosen ones by the corporate world, there will be a need of such start up

setup for such human resources. This will ease their risks of no job and they gain a lot by choosing to start on

their great idea of job. They may not be good at IT may be some other trade in which case they can buy a

ready-to-go shelf business. This will help them in avoiding the wasted time and energy they put in the 1000

of applications that don’t go through the eyes of the corrupt recruiters. This is a revolution and a revolt

against the big capitalist corporate, which are at their peak of their corrupt practices.

The proposed times for the deliverables are still tentative and detailed plans needs to be chalked out to

arrive at details. As a ball park it can be assumed that the project will likely take about 3 months for the base

implementation to move to production. It also depends on optional items and external dependencies,

however you are assured that as most of the features are ready to use time will be only for integration and

customization

One unit solution – this unit is made up of the best practices of the setup of the business ERP client- server

machines, Software apps needed to satisfy the QA audits like ITIL based front office, products display,

storage, billing, accounting, inventory management, sales management, tax reporting etc. For larger

businesses you can order racks (quarter to a full). With all these integrated systems in place, you are assured

that you get full advantage of the Engineering systems from vendors like IBM, Oracle along with our business

expertise in setting up custom business for your use.

Challenges may arise in the technical realization of the concept and costs may shoot up if there are delays in

the premises infrastructure like power, free areas, and staff. However on a positive side, we are confident

that this new venture has lots of buyers and there are business owners who are in trouble or do not want to

hire consultants to avoid the heavy expenses.

Model variants

Standard model:

This is the standard model offered as default. It contains the basic business unit, and QA as in a corporate

world. It involves standard roles, process and separate departments. These are ideal for medium size projects

having 5-10 resources. They all work in unison however separate work areas have. This is the typical the way

most corporate operate today. Most corporate today are working at Level 5 standard that is only on paper.

They have politics spread all over the projects and quote to use SEPG (SW Engg process group) concepts,

non-MBA managers, and non-technical computer engineers. However in our model, we have tried to

remove these by brining the ISO processes directly into the work area and recommend MBA graduates to do

the project work. PMP is a mere distraction as they are not aware of ISO, CMMI practices and most corporate

managers are there to do micro inspect, mis-manage that are anti-patterns to the real ISO specifications. We

can provide the best practices however onus lies on the business owner to hire the right resources internally

or external to his business.

Our key differentiator is that we are giving away the same quality standards as that in corporate world.

Instead of working in a big corrupt world for sake of money that is assured for few months only, you can

adapt our research work and our solutions to the issues that have existed\ most likely to continue. Big

corporate with big investors cannot change their way as switching costs mean closing down the company or

mass layoffs. This is happening to some extent. So you can adopt our system and best guidelines that

ensures you are clean and quality aware and practice that 100%. So even with less resources and money you

can achieve better results than that produced from a corporate that is mostly scrap priced at very high value

Lean model:

In this model all the processes are compacted so that fewer resources can achieve the same results. More

automation and reduction of large steps to fewer small steps makes this possible. So instead of using 10

resources, you can achieve the same results from 5 members. This does not mean more work, however what

is possible by a large team is done by the owner himself and few staff members.

However for this model to work, it needs resources that have experience across many departments and

entire SDLC and business lifecycle. This will ensure that the work productivity will not be compromised. The

price tag for this model is higher say almost double than the standard model. However this will save you in

terms of wages paid to workers. This is recommended for advanced, multi talented business owners who

have the passion to work on multiple areas like ERP systems in a business unit.

Lean model will have additional packages like ERP implementation, integrated systems, possibly a rack based

server machines. Details of the optional items to be discussed and finalized with end clients as costs can

overshoot if a full rack is subscribed for a 3- year period with a hybrid model suite in place. Typical costs can

range from $25,0000 to $100,000 / unit

Franchisee model: This is not exactly a model, but an option to take any of the above option on lease and

we provide training, key resources and a contract model for us to help you in all the business activities

Our role in this project

As part of our company we will be providing only the Technical and business establishment part of the

project. Also please note we are not having any securities or any real estate that we can pledge to this

company and cannot provide any guarantee of profits. It will be purely based on your passion and risk taking

in venturing into this project. We are fully dedicated to make your profits but again subject to market

conditions.

Things will be easier to work if some of the investors relocate to India and become partners of our company.

We can provide details of Govt. approved agencies for dealing with your Money for which you will need to

open a Bank account in your name. This will ensure safety of your money. Since this a new venture to us we

are cautious about our commitments.

We have domain experts in major areas of Business, Engineering, Computer Science and are always keen to

learn quickly and feed computers in delivering matured solutions.

Breakup of the estimated costs of investment of Half a million is a ball park high figure to ensure sufficient

funds are available for jobs that will be detailed as the work on this project progresses.

What we seek at this stage is partnership from self-interested parties, individuals, companies and investors

who are keen to work on this concept right from setting up the company, making this concept a reality, and

raising the capital to start on the prototype models for such franchisee business. Mere concept does not give

results, so an individual who has the knowledge of company formation, quality initiatives will be a great

resource. What we have at this stage is a great idea and courage to bring about a revolution

who are seeking new ventures.

Revenue generation is projected to be 10 units in first year for $5,000 / unit that will return $50,000 first

year. Second year it will be better with at least 20 units and returns of $100,000. This break even happens

during second year of operation. Total investment of $100,000 will be returned to investors along with

agreed upon share holder dividend profit after the lock in period of two years. Investors can then re invest or

plan to invest elsewhere.

There will be not much profit to the company initially upto break even, however on a long term this will

achieve good profits. Cost of operations will be managed as it is in Indian rupees so we can sustain the low

dollar reserves we have. We plan to have a low debt/ debt free trade as we are not certain of the future

trends, competition or any situation like war that can spoil the economy and power to do business.
