which followed. The bank has 140 offices in 32 countries outside India, including branches in several British cities. Mr Kumar commented, "By opening in Wolverhampton we hope to boost the city’s status as a world-class location for international financial services and also establish ourselves as a high street bank here in the UK." On completion of the project, the State Bank of India was so impressed with the standard of workmanship that the Wolverhampton branch is now held up as the benchmark for all future projects.
