What is energy …. without fuel?
« Rent a mill »: integrated concept for local processing of biomass for
sustainable energy
We are in the biomass business
Biomass is (almost) CO2 - neutral
Summary
Our market:
•Why biomass
•What is needed?
•Our Objective : to be present upstream where the biomass is
•Uses of our CO2-neutral biomass
•Where is the biomass
Our offering:
•Transportable « Mini mill » based model
•Commercial value for customers: turn capital cost into operational cost
•The mini mill
•The transportable mini mill
Our perspectives
•What we have and are today
•What we need
•The numbers
•Expansion and exit
Why Biomass?
A) EU 20-20-20 plan (January 2008):
• 20% renewable energy source: wind, solar, hydro and … biomass
• plus 20% reduction of consumption
• for 20% CO2 emissions reduction
B) Fuel independency
C) commitments withing Kyoto framework, COP15
We source, process and supply biomass
Biomass 2020: 170 Mio tons oil equivalent
or
400 Mio tons Biomass
400 Mio T biomass! = 40 Mio Ha
Pellets in 2015: 20 Mios tons (2Bios€)
What is needed?
40 Mios ha
Our objective:to be present upstream
« where the biomass is »
...and use otherwise unexploitable biomass
Customers in EU 27 including France, Germany, Spain
Supply from: wood and agro residues, the waste industry (sludges, manure, algae,….)
For cogeneration and district heating today
• Delays and failures due to shortage of biomass (e.g. 1Mwth per year= 1.000T of biomass)
• Efficiency through proximity to the biomass
Uses of our CO2-neutral biomass
Where is the Biomass?1) Western-EU27
* small-scale biomass: 500 -1000T mobile lines for local treatment
* alternative sources: waste, manure, sludge, algae multi-biomass mobile concept!
2) Central Europe (Ukraine, Hungary)
* Large quantities of traditional and cheaper biomass competitive with fossil fuels
When: NOW! As stricter and stricter regulations creates larger and larger demand
Our offeringTransportable « Mini mill » based model
- Local pelletising of any biomass including waste- Flexibility through movability and modularity- 3.000 Tons per year 100.000 Tons/year- In house development, multi biomass concept- No operational or set-up hurdles (rent with operator)
Commercial value for the customer
Added value through local pelletising-30€ or 0 €/Ton 100-150 €/Ton
Turn capital costs into operational costs

owner
The mini mill:• Own plant (6.000T/year) in operation• Replicable and scalable concept• Locally processing material• Locally sourced material (originally used for
agriculture)• Robust
(Lada vs BMW)
We have gone through
the learning curve
Transportable mini mill- Easy to transport (one trailer) and to install - Based on agro equipment, no electronics- Developed by a biomass specialist – competitive & patented
sourcing- Komsomolets (UA): 350 workers, R&D dpt., active on grain
market (domestic and export), successfull prior experience
What we have today...
Seed capital
• Today FFF for the seed capital (pilot plant and R&D)
• Pilot plant: production & sales, skills
• Now, we are raising equity for a scalable expansion 2010-2015
Operational staff
• Hands-on management: 6 cre-active people with technical and local back ground, 14 workers
• Development with a manufacturer of agro equipment (Komsomolets – 350 workers – R&D team, prototyping dpt.,…)
What we have today...Operational staff
• Hands-on management: 6 cre-active people and assistants with technical and local back ground, 14 workers
• Patrick de Jamblinne: Operations manager, contacts with investors, customer relations
•Loïc Lerminiaux: land sourcing, plantations, day to day management Ukraine
• Guus Keder: contacts with investors, expansion « x to liquid »
•Igor Nikolaenko: plant manager Ukraine, sourcing management
• Development with an Ukrainian manufacturer of agro equipment (Komsomolets – 350 workers – R&D team, prototyping dpt.,…)
What we need...
Growth capital
• € 1 million equity for scalable expansion 2010-2015
To duplicate executive skill-sets
• Build on our experience
Strategic Partners / Shareholders
• « Bring more than money »
