The Situation

A car rolled off of the pier in Roundstone, Co. Galway, and into the harbour.

Walsh’s Recovery was called to extract the car from the harbour.

Why?

Possible Reasons why the accident happened.The crane was too small.It was badly set up.Both?The operator was not certif ied or suff iciently trained?

Time to Plan Anew

Now what do you do?

If at First.

Try again?With two vehicles now clogging the harbour, a truck and crane from another contractor “Michael Long” was called. They arrived with a much larger Palfinger crane and the Harbour was eventually cleared. Note the one Garda overseeing the operation.
