Introduction
Vaibhav Group of Co. is involved in the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of all the
major items related to Electrical Substations, Switchyards, Transmission / Distribution system,
Automation and Scada among other necessary items.
Vaibhav Structurals is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company and almost all our vendors also have
similar quality standard certifications.
All the material manufactured and supplied by us are tested and certified by many 3rd party
laboratories across India.

1. Electrical and Instrumentation and Control work
River Water System at Chhabra Thermal Power Plant
On the banks of River Parvathi and River Bentli, situated is the place called Chhabra in the
Dist. of Baran at Rajasthan. Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam is setting up a 2 x 750 MW
Thermal Power Plant.
Scope:
Vaibhav Structurals is responsible for the electrical work at the thermal plant. This is an LSTK
contract, where Vaibhav Structurals is responsible for supply, erection, testing and
commissioning of the following:
a. Power Transformers
b. Distribution Transformers
c. Conductor
d. LT and HT Switchgears
e. Battery and Battery Charger
f. Cable and Conductor
g. Steel Structure
h. PLC / SCADA – Automation*

River Water System at Kalisindh Thermal Power Plant
Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam is setting up a 2 x 750 MW Thermal Power Plant at
Kalinsidh, near Jhalawar in the state of Rajasthan. This is one of the most prestigious projects
of the govt. and we are proud to be working on this.

Scope:
Vaibhav Structurals is responsible for the electrical work at the thermal plant. This is an LSTK
contract, where Vaibhav Structurals is responsible for supply, erection, testing and

3. Lift Irrigation Scheme
Water Resource Department, Balapura
Water Resource Department is Govt. of Rajasthan enterprise responsible for managing the
water resources to farmers. They are building pump houses on various canals to supply
water to the farmers. Vaibhav Structurals was the prime contractor and executed the project
of Lift Irrigation Scheme at Balapura, which involved complete design and supply of Motors,
Pumps, Transformer, Pipings, NRVs among other required equipment.
4. Lift Irrigation Scheme
Water Resource Department, Kishanpura
Kishanpura lift scheme is a turn-key project where are all the designing, engineering was
done by Vaibhav Structurals. All the components including Pumps, Motors, Transformer,
Piping, NRVs, and Generators were designed and supplied by Vaibhav Structurals.
5. Transformer Supply and Repair
JVVNL, AVVNL, JdVVNL, Private
AVVNL, JVVNL, and JdVVNL are the three utility companies of the state of Rajasthan. Vaibhav
Group is a registered vendor with all the three companies in the highest class of Vendors,
Class A. At Vaibhav Group we are manufacturing and repairing the transformer for more
than 10 years now and in the past 10 years we have repaired + Manufactured more than
10000 transformers.

6. Steel Structure supply
JVVNL, AVVNL, ABB, LnT, RPG, Kalptaru
In the past 10 years, there has been a drastic change in the electrical infrastructure of the
State of Rajasthan. There were kilometers of transmission line that were drawn to supply
power even to the remotest place of the state.
Vaibhav Structurals was one of the first vendors to supply the requisite steel structure to
meet the growing demands of the state’s utility companies. In the past 5 years we have
manufactured and supplied more than 100,000 MT of steel structures

Products: On all our projects we supply the material as per the detailed engineering designs. On some of the
project these are designed by us and on some these are designed by the client and its consultants.
Since these are tailor made equipment, technical design is the first phase of every project, designs
submitted by us are then approved by the clients and manufacturing is commenced only upon
receipt of the approval Details for some of the products manufactured and supplied by us are as

1. Transformers
Vaibhav Structurals is involved in manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, commissioning,
and repair of transformers for more than 10 years and has supplied transformers to various govt,
semi-govt and private organizations.

installed and commissioned various project including

satisfactorily. Our minimum fault failures and good
quality material has given us repeat clients and almost
100% clients are repeat clients.

3. LT Switchgear
LT Switchgear is required on almost all our turn-key projects and
is running smoothly for more than 15 years now. Our supplied LT
Switchgears are tailor made by the manufacturer under the strict
supervision and testing of our dedicated QA Team.

4. Switchyard Equipments
As Vaibhav Group, we have executed more
than 15 switchyard projects upto 33KV
where we have executed the projects on
turn-key basis. Being a turn-key provider we
supply all the equipments that are required
for the execution of such projects.
Below are some of the important switchyard / substation equipment’s supplied by us:
4.1. Tn Line Towers
At Vaibhav Group we have our own designing team capable of
designing the towers as per the projects requirements. We have
designed, manufactured, and supplied more than 5000 transmission
line towers in the past 5 years. Vaibhav Group is one of the few A-Class
Vendors of towers to the state electricity board and has supplied more
than 2000 towers in a month for their urgent requirements.

4.2. Isolator
As the name suggests, isolators are basically disconnectors, used
for protection from Faults in High Voltage Installations normally
used horizontally at our various project sites. All the isolators
supplies by us have been working satisfactorily.
Features:
The moving contact blade is an Aluminum /copper tube with special copper profile with a bimetallic strip fitted with silver plated copper contacts.
The stationary contacts are silver plated copper, spring loaded to maintain constant contact pressure The electrical contact system is easily and quickly replaced should it be damaged due to a fault
current or damaging event. Range of Terminal connectors to suit current requirements. 4.3. Dropout fuse
We have installed drop out fuses as important safety device for
small distribution transformer. The drop out fuse opens the
circuit and serves the mechanical isolation of system in case of
flow of fault current. Wherever we have installed these, they are
practically maintenance free as they required duly replacement
of fuse element.

4.4. Lightening Arrester
We have most widely used Station Class Lightening Arresters on
many of our turn key projects for the protection of station
transformer and switchgears.
Features:

4.5. Neutral Grounding Resistors
We have installed NGRs on our River Water System for Power
Generation Plant Project, between the neutral & the earth so that it will
limit the earth fault current to a safe value [ Normally full load current of
the generator, transformer, etc.] thereby protecting the transformer,
generator system.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Current Ratings Initial current that flows when cold and is equal to system’s full load
current. Designed as per system’s requirement.
Voltage Ratings Line to Neutral Voltage: = System Voltage / √3 . Designed as per system’s requirement.
Short Time Rating 10 / 30 / 60 seconds
Continuous Rating 5 – 10% of full load current
Standards o IEEE-32, IS-3043 & BS 162 for neutral grounding resistor.
o IS 2147 or IS 12063 of 1987 for degree of protection for
enclosure.
o IS 5 for paint shade.
o Any other standard as required.
Test Routine Tests:
Visual and Dimensional, Meger test using 1000V Meger,
Resistance measurement.
Special Test:
Temperature Rise Test – Conducted at CPRI Bangalore for
continuous and short time ratings.
Protection Test – ARAI, Pune for IP 33, IP55, and IP65 as per
IS2147 or IS12063 of 1987
Any other test if required can be conducted.

4.6. GSS Switchyard Structure
Along with the transmission line tower there are other many
other steel fabricated items like substation structure. This
consists of various clamps, channel, mounting structure, etc.
At our manufacturing units, we manufacture all the substation
structure items using MS / GI steel. All these are manufactured
as per clients’ designs and are further tested for the chemical
and mechanical tests at a third party labs. Our manufactured
items are inspected and approved by various third party agencies like RITES, among others in India.

5. Cable
Cables are the most essential component of any electrical project,
though not the costliest product but yes without cables can anything be
done? No. There are vast varieties of cables in severals of thousands of
kilometers are used by us of including PVC / XLPE Power Cables, Control
Cables, Control and Instrumentation Cables, including various other
cable types.
Our vendor is into cable manufacturing for more than 4 decades now
and has production facility that facilitates any rating and any standard.
Recently we have offered cables to some of potential international customers where we are getting
the cables manufactured as per their specifications and as per their choice of standards.

6. ACSR/AAC Conductor
ACSR stands for Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced and AAC
stands for All Aluminum Conductor. AAC and ACSR conductor is very
widely used in many of our substation projects. Recently we have
used a huge quantity of ACSR conductor our River Water System turn
key projects in Rajasthan India.
Our vendor is a renowned brand globally who not only maintains
good quality but is also a member of various standardizing committees like Bureau of Indian
Standards. Their products are tested and certified at various laboratories worldwide, some of the
names are NETFA -South Africa, CESI - Italy, EDF - France, ERDA - Vadodara, India, NSIC - Kolkatta,
India, CPRI -Bangaluru, India and Tag Corporation - Chennai, India for conductors of 500 kV HVDC &
800 kV AC transmission system and also for distribution conductors of Metropolitan Electricity
Authority, Bangkok.
We have been associated with our vendors for more than 15 years and have been satisfactorily using
their products for such a long time. Widely used categories include Weasel, Dog and CANNA ACSR
Conductors.

7. Insulators
Insulators are widely used on all our transmission line projects. Two
important classifications of the insulators that are widely used are Pin
Insulators and Disc Insulators. Made up of Porcelain, Polymer, Wood or
Glass is used to isolate a wire from physical support (pole).
