As we increase our insulation due to requirements in the Building Codes we create a greater Delta T. Delta T can be the temperature difference between the inside and the outside of a residence and anywhere where there is a difference of 8 degrees or more condensation will form.

A fully sealed vapour barrier should be mandatory for any builder who does not want warranty calls for mould.

Please remember mould is a warranty defect and condensation is very hard to prevent, if prevention is not properly applied at the beginning of construction the costs to rectifying this later are insurmountable in comparison

PLEASE NOTE: Foil wraps generally don’t carry a warranty and being over 90% metal have the ability to corrode. We suggest using P2000 which has a 20 year product warranty.
