INTRODUCTION OBJECTIVE: Maximization of profit on sale of

garments for Mega mart Garment Store using Vogel’s approximation method of transportation.  

A survey of Mega mart Garment Store was conducted to record what all items of clothing are sold in the store and what brands are supplying to the store. Then the owner of the store was interviewed in order to collect data such as how much profit the store makes on sale of an item of clothing of one particular brand, the maximum number of garments that a supplier supplies and the demand for a particular item of clothing.

From the data and solution, we can conclude that if the store owner of Mega mart follows the allocation pattern, and sells the specified number of each type of garment of a particular brand, then his profit will be maximized and he will make the profit of Rs 2,12,100.
