Mortars target children’s schools in Damascus.

Seven citizens were killed and more than 30 other citi-zens were injured including children, due to the fall of mortar shells on Qassa’a, Bab Toma, Bagdad street and al-Abassien in Damascus. While two citizens were killed to-day, and other were injured due to the fall of mortar shells on al-Mawasem Square in al-Qassa’a and Zablatani. A mortar shell fell at the surroundings of Umayyad Square in Damascus, casual-ties. Most of the shells that fell yesterday targeted chil-dren’s schools and busses. An official source reported that the Syrian Arab army targeted the headquarters of the mili-

tants in al-Nashabya farms, al-Buharya, al-Dalbah, Htai-tat al-Turkman, Hjaira and al-Sbaina. And killed several militants, including a Saudi. in addition to targeting gath-erings of militants of al-Nusra front in Yabroud and Zabada-ni. while army clashed with an armed group in the sur-roundings of Omari Mosque in al-Qaboun neighborhood, and killed a number of in-surgents. Opposition sites reported that the Free army targeted Syrian army forces stationed at Danon and al-Manashier checkpoints near al-Qeswa at Daraa- Damas-cus old highway. The Secretary General of the Baath Arab Pro-gressive party in Jordan, Fouad Dabour, said that the defense of Syria is the defense of the nation, noting in an interview on Syrian television that “ the Arab nation is targeted through Syria, because it is the last bastion and the gate which maintains, defends and sacrifice for the Arab world,” adding that the meeting of the General Secretariat of the Arab parties in Damascus on Monday comes in rec-ognition of Syria’s steadfastness in the face of
