INTRODUCTION

• Night Vision scopes and binoculars are electro-optical devices that intensify (or amplify) existing light instead of relying on a light source of their own.

• Night vision googles capture the image even in the dark in the infrared region.

HISTORY:

At first, sniper riffles had night vision technology incorporated for the ability to see enemies from a distance - this proved to have a dramatic effect in the course of the war. Since the Germans found the usefulness of night vision, they began developing new technology to successfully dominate the night.

THERMAL IMAGING:

It is quite easy to see everything during the day

Thermal imaging lets you see again

NIGHT VISION DEVICE: A NVD is a optical instrument that allows images to be produced in levels of light approching total darkness.

Night vision devices were first used in world war IIAnd came into wide use during the Vietnam war. Night vision device is also termed as Night Optical Device(NOD).
