We are a trade association promoting British professional services worldwide
British tourism consultants have a key role to play in developing tourism in China
On behalf of UK Trade & Investment we run the “Aid-Funded Business Service” which can help UK investors in the Chinese tourism sector

Working for Chinese clients, British consultants have worked on the following projects:
Tourism Development Planning & Implementation, Shimei Bay, Hainan
Posada del Valle Resort Masterplanning, Tianjin
Duerbote Tourism Masterplan
Conceptual Masterplanning of Huaqiang Tourism City, Wuhu, Anhui
These studies have been privately funded by the client

The Asian Development Bank has financed the:
Greater Mekong Subregion Tourism Sector Strategy Study
The study aims to support a more holistic and coordinated approach to tourism development in the subregion
It will make many substantial contributions to poverty reduction, the empowement of women, and sustainable development, while minimizing adverse impacts

The World Bank has financed tourism as part of Urban Environment projects:
The Zhejiang Urban Environment Project includes technical assistance for tourism development and heritage conservation
The Chongqing Urban Environment project includes planning for the promotion of conservation, heritage and tourism

The World Bank Group, through the International Finance Corporation (IFC) also promotes sustainable private sector investment
IFC provides debt and equity financing for up to 25% of total project costs
IFC’s key role is to take on educated risks that the private sector will not take alone
Tourism is an important sector – since 1956 IFC has invested in over 231 tourism projects in 78 countries
