MCC’s Liner activities combined into one companyIn 2005, the structure was changed and all activitieswere moved to MCC Transport Singapore. Mainfocus was feedering mainly for Maersk Line withinthe scope of the SEA area.

APMM puts focus on Intra Asia throughMCCFrom 1st Jan 2009, MCC emerged as Intra-Asia specialist for the group.

EAC acquires BSD SingaporeEAC of Copenhagen acquiredBakke Sime Derby (BSD)Singapore in 1988 and renamed thecompany to EAC TransportAgencies.

APMM acquires EAC & renames BSD as MCCTransportIn May 1993, EAC’s liner shipping activities were soldto A.P. Møller–Maersk Group and the company inSingapore renamed MERCANTILE CARGOCONSOLIDATORS (MCC). The company was at thattime operating 6-7 smaller feeders (100-200 teu size)in trades to and from Vietnam and Cambodia.

MCC B/L’s issued exclusively on Intra-Asia trade lanesFrom 2010, only MCC can accept bookingsand issue B/L’s on the Intra-Asia tradelanes for APMM-Maersk group.

MCC Philippines commencesdomestic shippingIn 2007, MCC Transport Philippines wasformed – this company is engaged indomestic shipping within Philippines.
