different countries in the world over a 5-year period. Launched the Canadian commercial operation for the number one drug, 3TC used against HIV and aids becoming a multi-billion dollar product worldwide

CHALLENGE: • Joined Terragen Discovery Inc., a private biopharmaceutical R&D stage company lacking a scientific proof of principle for its approach to drug discovery with no patent covering the core technology.

STRATEGIES: • Completed a thorough and extensive analysis of strategic options to design a business plan aimed at solving these deficiencies, gaining swift Board approval followed by rapid execution.

• Established two significant research collaborations to advance anti-infective research initiatives while raising $13 Million in venture capital.

RESULTS: • Grew corporate value through a series of strategic manoeuveurs including the multi-million dollar acquisitions of a US competitor to obtain broad issued patents covering the core technology and a UK company for its downstream drug discovery capabilities.
