THREE PAVILIONS :

PRIVACY

The home gets more private as you

venture back and up into it and is split

into three pavilions that are connected

by a long spine hall that consolidates

circulation.

OUTDOORS

With two outdoor courtyards and French

doors in all ground floor rooms the home

can be opened to the outside. This con-

figuration makes the home feel wider

than it is. Kids can go out and play with

complete security.

LIGHT

Windows open onto private, courtyard

views, so you can forget that you are

bound on both sides by neighbors.

There is plenty of light coming from all

directions.

LIVING/DINING

Offices, Living and Dining areas are

located in the front pavilion. They

have the HIGHEST CEILINGS and are

the MOST OPEN of all the rooms.

ENTRY SEQUENCE emphasizes the

privacy of the home. Once you are

through the door, you are directed

toward an inner courtyard view and

the home begins to unfold.

CENTRAL

PAVILION

SEMI-PRIVATE

The kitchen, guest suite

and baths are found in the

central pavilion. Windows

on both sides of the rooms

bring in lots of light and

openness.

Windows in the baths are

positioned high enough

that you do not sacrifice

VIEW and LIGHT for

PRIVACY.

FRENCH DOORS on both

sides of the kitchen allow it

to be completely opened

to private courtyards.

The goal of this configura-

tion is to make the house

feel WIDER than it is.

KIDS’ SUITE

MASTER BEDROOM

The KID’S SUITE

features SLEEPING

NOOKS for each child,

that give them a cur-

tained sleeping berth

with shelves and stor-

age for their treasures.

The MASTER BEDROOM

is on the topmost floor

and features a large

BALCONY with a view

of the courtyard

below.

WINDOW HEIGHT is

raised so you can see
