For a fast and easy demonstration of how License Manager can take raw audit data and present this in a clear and concise way that is optimized for managing software licenses, the Express PoC is an ideal offering that is free-of-charge*. This PoC option can be conducted entirely remotely from the customer’s site.

Workflow:1. Customer and License Dashboard to hold PoC

briefing call (max 30 minutes by telephone)

2. Customer reviews and signs Express PoC Statement of Work and Non-Disclosure Agreement

3. License Dashboard provides relevant data connector for customer’s incumbent inventory solution

4. Customer provides License Dashboard with extract of inventory data (upload to SFTP site)

5. License Dashboard imports raw audit data into a clean standalone instance of License Manager and initiates automated cleansing and filtering routines (no manual cleanse will be done at this stage)

6. License Dashboard will schedule a Webex with customer to present data in License Manager

Demonstrable Benefits: Customer will see how License Manager

takes ‘noisy’ audit data and automatically creates recognizable licensing information

Customer will be shown how cleansed data can be reconciled against license entitlements

Timescale: Typically this style of PoC will be delivered

from start to finish in less than two weeks

Requirements: Customer meets qualification criteria set out

in this document

Customer has an incumbent discovery solution supported by License Manager data connectors (or is willing to deploy License Dashboard Discovery to a small number of devices)

PROOF OF CONCEPT OPTIONS

This option (also free-of-charge) is similar to the Audit Only PoC but enables a customer to witness how easily Microsoft Licensing Statements can be imported into the License Manager interface, with automatic recognition and validation of the associated entitlements. A first-stage desktop reconciliation is performed, but License Dashboard will not offer commentary or advice on the customer’s licensing position.

Workflow:1. Items 1-5 as per PoC 1 above

2. Customer provides MLS to License Dashboard (MLS must be acquired prior to commencement of PoC)

3. License Dashboard to schedule a Webex with customer to show cleansed audit data in License Manager and to show a ‘live’ import of a raw MLS file into the system

Demonstrable Benefits: Customer will see how License Manager

takes ‘noisy’ audit data and automatically creates recognizable licensing information

Customer will be shown how cleansed data can be reconciled against license entitlements

Customer will witness in real-time the process and speed of importing an MLS, together with an understanding of the automated application of licensing intelligence

Timescale: Typically this style of PoC will be delivered

from start to finish in less than two weeks

Requirements: Customer meets qualification criteria set out

in this document

For organizations that require a very specific Proof of Concept, possibly including software vendors not covered above or looking at licensing on a portion of the server estate, License Dashboard is pleased to offer bespoke options. Working closely with the customer, License Dashboard professionals will identify the key areas of concern, the available resources and the desired outcomes of the PoC.

The cost of the project will be calculated directly from the initial scoping exercise and the customer will review and approve a fully-documented project plan prior to starting the PoC.

3. SINGLE VENDOR REVIEW - DESKTOP CHARGEABLE

Organizations that want a more in-depth evaluation of the capabilities of License Manager can opt for a paid-for Single Vendor Review on a maximum of 500 desktops (we recommend these are within a common location or Business Unit). Software vendors qualifying for this PoC option comprise Symantec, Adobe, Autodesk (other vendors are subject to additional charges).

This option requires the customer to provide License Dashboard with both an extract of the inventory database (via the appropriate License Dashboard connector) and also approved vendor consumption data.

The charge for this PoC starts at UK £3,980 / US $6,700 / EU €4,780 (the price may vary depending on the customer’s exact requirements, this will be confirmed before any work starts). Should the customer proceed to purchase (solution or service), a discount worth 30% of the PoC cost will be applied to the license price.
