 Jim  has  more  than  35  years  of  broad‐based  human resources  leadership  experience.   He  has  demonstrated experience  in  employee  relations,  labor  relations,  group benefits,  compensation,  organizational  development, safety, staffing, succession planning, and training.  Jim  is  recently  retired  from  Gerdau  Ameristeel,  the nation’s  fourth  largest  steel manufacturer.  Jim was Vice President  of  Human  Resources  and  responsible  for  all human resources functions for over 100 facilities.  During Jim’s  tenure  as  Vice  President, Gerdau  Ameristeel  grew from annual  revenues of $800 million  to over $6 billion.  Much of  the growth was  through acquisition of  facilities 

throughout the United States and Canada.  Other  career  assignments  included  serving  as  Vice  President,  Human  Resources  for Birmingham  Steel  Corporation  and  as  Director  of  Human  Resources  for  Florida  Steel Corporation.  Jim  enjoys  adding  value  to  client  organizations  in  the  areas  of  developing  strategic  human resources  plans,  executive  (and  leadership)  coaching/development,  due  diligence  during acquisitions,  cultural  development/integration  and  employment  practices.      His  pragmatic approach  allows  small  and middle market  companies  to benefit  from  the human  resources insights and best practices of industry leaders.  Jim  is  a  graduate  of  Florida  State  University.      He  is  actively  involved  in mission  trips  to underdeveloped  and  emerging  countries  and  enjoys  boating  and  golfing.   He  and  his wife, Marti, have two adult children and reside in Valrico, Florida.
