If there is ease of doing business in India, students
will come back and work in India.
Novelty, Utility and Frugality are the 3 mantras for
innovation in India
Flipkart invented cash on delivery. No other company
in the world did that.
We fear failure because we fear authority. We need to
inculcate self belief. One way to education system, is to
get our children right from kindergarten to question not
such authority, but what they are told.
You need to train the people in your organisation
especially at ground level to become better listeners.
The most innovative ideas come from listening what
the consumer wants.
I have been one of the biggest critics of the word
‘jugaad’. It should be about ‘more for less’ than
‘make do’.
One very important block is the Indian consumer. We
have the opportunity to take any innovation to the
scale no other country can.
Problem in India is that failure is too expensive. You
can’t afford to fail. That maybe the reason for lack
of innovation.
