What is India Fest? India Fest is the annual celebration bringing people together to

celebrate Indian culture, food, music and art. Since it inception

in 2003, India Fest has grown to an annual attendance level of

8K+ guests. The Agricenter venue showcases:

Bazaar Section: Experience a vivid kaleidoscope of Indian music,

food, art, fashion, language and literature. The multiple kiosks will

bring alive various facets of India, including an unforgettable

gastronomical experience

Talent Show: A Talent Show Contest runs concurrent to the Bazaar

Section and will exhibit Indian dance and music performed by local

talents

Food Demo: For all the food enthusiasts a way to learn and try out

new recipes and cuisine from across India’s varied cuisine

Kids & Youth Corner: Kids get to explore India through Indian story

time, dance lessons, various engaging and learning activities

Cultural Performance: Performance by various individuals

showcasing India’s diverse culture and heritage

Annual India Fest brings culture to life Memphis’ growing diversity and exchange of cultures was evident Saturday, Nov. 5, as roughly 8,000 individuals poured into Agricenter International

A Memphis Midtown Resident, Nov 5, 2012 India Fest is a day-long celebration of Indian culture, Sample Indian food, get decorated with henna paint, learn about Indian history and culture, shop the bazaar and attempt to master traditional Indian dances. Pro tip: If you’ve never tried Indian food (or think you don’t like it), give it another try at India Fest – the festival is an amazing gastronomical experience.
