Visually documenting interior electronics helped immensely in that our operations team could mark-up various ports and configurations and quickly send to the customer to help in resolving field problems. This is a render of one of the secondary control boards in the iBall flagship product, the award-winning Bloodhound gas detector.

For the first few years, we had no hands-on opportunities with the equipment to help troubleshooting, so I drafted a near complete exterior model to help in illustrating troubleshooting guides and user documentation.

Humor is one of the best mediums to get word of a product out. I like to help customers reach this milestone through illustration which exhibit a few elements of humor. In this case, the Black Box product is a software package designed to reduce production defects in software.

Humorous Illustrations

Regardless of the application, the old adage of a picture being worth a thousand words is definitely true. I have a passion for creating imagery of all kinds and in many mediums to reduce complex topics to easily-visualized concepts that groups can use to gain a common understanding. My greatest professional reward is in seeing teams work more productively together through my work.

Whether tight-spec, manifold models to be used in CNC or additive-manufacturing applications, marketing materials, or simple personal gifts, my love for turning ideas to tangible realities remains my ultimate driver.
