How did you attract/address your audience?

Above are image of my front cover and professional front covers that have been used for inspiration. Mine being the one highlighted in yellow. My final front cover was influenced a lot by my audience feedback in the research stage of the project. My audience feedback reviled that the 2 most popular music magazines were Q and GQ and my audience explained that they like the colours used and the clean and clear layouts of the front cover. As you can see from these mine has used a similar colour scheme as my audience said that red was a colour that grabbed your attention on the selves in a shop. My front cover image was a mid to close up shot of my model who was posed to create sex appeal as you can see from the front covers above this is something that magazines do with a female model. By clearly setting out my cover lines a round my image much like the others my audience said they were easy to read and the different size fonts made them eye catching (something i did changed after my first audience feedback as font was all one size.)

One thing that really stood out in my audience feedback about double page spreads is how they liked an image on onside and the article on the other. They said it was easy to read and look really effective as you can see from the pictures to the left these double page spreads from q magazine, some of my audiences favourites, helped me to design mine. The layout is similar in that the article is clearly set out. Something else that my audience feedback provided me with is what they would like to read about on a double page spread and the majority said an interview so this is where the decision for the article came from. At first my article was set out in 1 paragraph but after feedback most people said they would prefer to read it spread across 2 and this is how I reached my final product.
