Computers

The Hildreth Public Library has seven computers for public use. Five with internet access and two in the children’s area with no internet. The library offers wireless service to patrons as well as a laser printer and a color printer/scanner.

Teen Area

Comfy seating, awesome books, microwave, TV, computers, DVD player, Nintendo Wii and teen-selected wall color & accessories make this area popular with sixth through twelfth graders.

Programs Offered

Children’s Programs:Includes after-school activities, holiday parties, summer reading program, story time, and author visits

Teen Programs:Assist with children’s programs, after-school activities and lunch bunch each week during the summer

Adult Programs:Various seasonal programs and one-on-one help with computers

Friends of the Library, Inc.

The group organized in 1997 with a commitment to promote good library service. In 2008, the Friends became a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.

In recent years the group has helped the library purchase supplies & materials, automation costs, computer furniture, computers, summer reading program costs and bike racks.

Library Expansion Project

The current library building was built in 1982 and has been well-loved and used by the community. Though many changes have been made over the last 20+ years; the present facility can no longer adequately address this continuing growth in use and materials. The Friends of the Library, Inc. is asking for your help to address this situation.

At Work for a Great Cause

The Library Expansion Plan would double the floor space, add more room for books, additional needed seating, more computers, space for programs, a restroom and storage.
