Vibration Syndrome
Hand Arm
Hand arm vibration syndrome is also known as vibration white finger or
dead finger. This condition is caused by the continuous use of vibrating
power tools and affects thousands of workers every year. This disorder
affects the nerves, muscles, joints, and blood vessels of the hand and
arm. The greatest risk of developing this syndrome is between 50 and
150 Hz. The effects of this include numbness in the fingers, fingers
change colour and loss of manual use.
