1 EVENT PROPOSAL Requesting Agents: The Marcus Graham Project Location: South Side in Lamar >> 1409 South Lamar Street Proposed Date: August 15th, 2009 - 11am-6pm Audience Expectancy: 250-400 Green Period is a "green movement" celebration of creativity, innovation and urban renewal - starting with the greatest resource: YOU! The event will serve as the final presentation of The Marcus Graham Project's (MGP) Summer Boot Camp. MGP is a grassroots initiative that provides training, exposure & mentorship to youth interested in the advertising & media industry. Throughout the summer, students in the program have been tasked to create a concept for their client, Broccoli City, engaging a cross-cultural urban audience in Dallas on green living. They will do this while utilizing some of the passion points that are strong influences within their culture, including music, fashion, and technology. The event will include an open house of the pop up retail concept, live musical performances, comments from community officials, green mini-expo and an after party to follow. The team have been asked to design an integrated marketing execution bringing those passion points to life pop-up retail sales promotion, viral videos, magazine concept, and community service tie-in. The campaign is developed in partnership with the City of Dallas's Green Dallas Initiative, WFAA Channel 8’s Project Green, South Side on Lamar, Newflower Markets, VEEV Spirits, Tenabes, Neo Soul Café, Project 7 and others.

The Team (L-R)

The team has organized themselves into a fully functioning advertising agency team inclusive of account management, account planning, creative, interactive and experiential. Members of the team include: David Ford III (aka. Tre), 25, Dominick Shelton, 22, Lincoln Stephens, 28, Darrin Nobles, 22, Phred Brown, 22, Wes Medlock, 26, Quinton Wash, 24 (not pictured) Throughout the summer the team will have successfully visited and consulted with a variety of ad agencies including: The Richards Group, Imaginuity, TracyLocke, En Vivo, The Design Factory, Culture Lab, Moroch, TPN and The Marketing Arm. The event will also support the launch of a Media Insights & Concept Lab being developed by The Marcus Graham Project to support local youth arts development organizations including Dallas Designing Dreams. * Bios & Resumes available upon request.

IV. Post-Event Marketing Strategies Follow-Up Email Blast

• Thank you email on behalf of The Marcus Graham Project and all involved partners. Thank you email to include digital video recap Post Event Press Photos and press releases submitted to local and national print/online vehicles Data Collection Market data on attendees will be collected on-site and prior to the event for further communication and usage. Data will be collection via event branded micro-site.

About Us The Marcus Graham Project (MGP) is a network with the intent strategically focused on building the next generation of ethnically diverse male leadership in the advertising, media, marketing and entertainment industry thru mentorship, training & career development. Vendor Registration Form Vendor Guidelines

• Vendor space will be included along the artist residency corridor in South Side on Lamar. Vendor space will be directly below the Marcus Graham Project headquarters and retail concept studio located in Loft 111 • The Marcus Graham Project and South Side on Lamar will not be responsible for items lost, damaged, misplaced, etc. during the event. • All Vendor fees are non-refundable. • ¨Due to insurance reasons, any person tending the tables must be at least 18 years of age. • Please send a sample of your product for inclusion in the retail store concept. All samples must be received by Tuesday August 11th.

Description of Vendor Spaces

• Spaces are approximately 10’x10’ and are rented for Saturday August 15th from 11am until 6pm. You may utilize more than one • Table in your vendor space to enlarge it to 20’x20’. ¨Space is set up for prime exposure (i.e. all shoppers enter and exit through vendor area) • Tables are 8’ long. • Chairs are not provided or available for rental, so we encourage you to bring your own.

Set Up / Clean Up

• Set up for the event will take place at 9:30am CST. The event will begin promptly at 11:00am CST • Clean up for the event must be completed by 7:30pm CST

Registration Fee

• Registration for this event is FREE. However any donation that you would like to make to The Marcus Graham Project will be accepted as a tax deductible contribution to our program and insights lab
