DESCRIPTION
Slip Ring is an electrical component which could be responsible for rotating connection and power&signal transmission. According to the transmission medium to distinguish, slip ring can be divided into electrical slip ring, fluid slip ring, fiber slip ring, also generally could be called rotating connection. Usually, slip rings are installed in the rotating center of device and mainly be made of rotor and stationary of two parts. Rotor part connect the rotating structure wit movement in the equipment, known as the rotor, at the same time, the stationary part connect the power of fixed structure in the device, called stator. Recently, there are many rotating component demands in the field of high-end industrial equipment. When mechanical equipment rotate with 360 degree continuously, the rotating shaft require multiple movements, say electrical power, fluid pressure power, control signal, fiber signal, high frequency signal etc. Any relatively continuous rotation between 360 degree electrical components need to transfer function power, weak current signal, optical signal, hydraulic pressure, air pressure, oil pressure and different power medium to make sure that electrical appliances in the rotary motion as well as free movement of mechanical equipment must use rotating device. Slip ring also known as “collector ring” or “ confluence ring. Several decades ago, the mature technology and production factory has been existed in China, which mainly transferred big current and adopted carbon brush compact design technology. However, because of limited big current transmission, friction could produce a large amounts of carbon alloy powders that need to clean or replace carbon brush regularly. Due to the rapid development of modern precision electronics and precise electrical products, then appears precise slip ring and electrical slip ring which originally dedicated to super high-end fields, such as aviation, aerospace, but now, slip ring has been widely used in civil precision electronics and electrical equipment. Also, a part of series has been made of general electrical accessories. Electrical slip ring, mostly widely used in all slip ring series, also known as brush, carbon brush, collector ring, rotary joint and so on. On the basis of different overall structure, which could be divided into through hole slip ring ( as below picture ), capsule slip ring ( as below picture ), separate slip ring, mercury slip ring, coax rotary joint, carbon brush slip ring,custom slip ring and so on. General Description of Slip Ring and Future Development
