IR + a + infinitive = going to do something Voy a comer.
Poder + infinitive = are able to do something Podo pasar tiempo con mis amigos.
Querer + infinitive = want to do something Querro llevar.
Deber + infinitive = should do something Debo mi tarea.
Necesitar + infinitive = need to do something Necesito ensalada de pasta.
Tener que + infinitive = to have to do something Tengo que trabajar
Soler + infinitive = to be accustomed to… Suelo practicar
Adverbs
Put the adjective into the feminine singular for of the objective
Then add –mente onto the end of the word.
Example: Claro Clara Claramente means clearly
Constante Constante Constantementeconstantly
When 2 adverbs modify the same verb, only the 2nd one uses the –mente ending.
IRREGULAR: mucho = a lot; muy = very; mal = bad; bastarte = quite/enough; bien = good/well; ya = already; tan = so; demasiado = too; nunca =never; poco = little; peor =worse; siempre = always
Present Progressive
ESTAR ando/iendo/yendo(-ir, -uir, -eer)
To say what you are doing right now
Example:
Estoy hablando a ti.
Estás comiendo una hamburgesa.
Está escribiendo notas.
Estamos leyendo un libro.
Están cociando comida.
Past Imperfect Progressive
To say what you are doing in the imperfect.
Examples:
Estaba hablando a ti.
Estabas comiendo una hamburgesa.
Estaba escribiendo notas.
Estábamos leyendo un libro.
Estaban cociando comida.

To say what you are going to do in the future.

Superlatives
Used when trying to say that something has the most or least of a certain quality.
Más + adjective = the most…
Luis es el más grande.
Menos + adjective = the least…
Sofia es la menos viejo.
Positive Formal Commands
To give a command in the usted form.
Put it in “yo” form
Then change the vowel ending
-ar words e

Coma lo = you eat it. (in the formal form)
Negative Formal Commands
To give a command in the usted form.
Put it in “yo” form
Then change the vowel ending
Then put the word “no” in front of it.

No coma lo = don’t eat it. (in the formal form)

Prepostions
Used to say where things are located. Use (de) after only when a specific location follows the expression. Examples:
Cerca (de) = near Delante (de) = before A la Derecha (de) = to the right Detrás (de) = behind Entre = between A la izquierda (de) = to the left Al lado (de) = by Lejos (de) = far Abajo = down Arriba = upwards Debajo (de) = underneath Dentro (de) = inside Encima (de) = upon/over Fuera (de) = outside

Add and accent mark = pronoun takes the place of a
noun.
Este = aquí; Este conejo está aquí. Esté está aquí.
Ese = allí; Ese conejo está allí. Ése está allí.
Aquel = allá; Aquel conejo está allá. Aquél está allá.
Eso, esto, aquello are neuter = refer to situations or
ideas, not specific nouns.
All demonstratives always agree in gender and
number of the noun it modifies.
