Your Documentum application - D2 or xCP - presents

malfunctions or performance issues, resulting in a significant

degradation of service to users. One of the following

problems is frequently encountered:

• Interruption of service by stopping one of the components of

the architecture;

• Random degradation of performance in the day, or at certain

times of the day;

• Targeted and persistent slowness problems on some features.

The goals of this pack are the following:

• Identify the potential causes of malfunctions by collecting the

metrics over the different layers of the application,

• Make recommendations in the short/medium/long term, to

help the customer to:

▪ As a first step: stabilize the application in production and improve the user’s

experience;

▪ In a second step: set up an action plan to address all of the identified

points.

Step 1 : Collecting technical and business information

• Low Layers• Statement and analysis of the system’s metric (CPU/ memory / network etc.)

• Statement of the network’s metrics around machines involved

• Statement of the configurations of the machines

• Application Layer• Statement of the configurations of the applications other than Documentum

(application servers, Web servers, Middleware...)

• Research and classification of errors, incidents and defects

• Business Layer• Statement and classification of the transaction activity statistics

• Statement of responses Time for critical transactions by unitary test

• Prerequisites: EMC/Aerow consultants will need to access the above mentioned data. For this, it is necessary only to technicians of the client with the necessary clearances (System Administrator, responsible for the application,) are available during the audit, to provide the data.

significant period, and within the actual conditions of use.
