Solenoid Solutions
doesn't just do
valves – we do
solutions. We
work with a wide
variety of clients,
each with their
own specific
needs. As such, we
have a wide
variety of different
valves in our
product line, each
with their own
specific uses.

Because most applications for
solenoid valves require at
least some level of custom
design, we work closely with
our clients to produce custom
engineered valves that fit
their exact needs. Through
the combination of our value-
added accessories and our
custom production process,
Solenoid Solutions can
produce millions of different
combinations of custom
valves, more than enough to
meet the needs of any client.

Purchasing custom
valves designed in the
shop to meet your
exact needs provides
many benefits. Using
specialty valves makes
machinery run better
and longer, which
reduces the need for
preventative
maintenance and
repair. By reducing the
level of maintenance
required, your
company will save time
and money.

The features that can be
customized on our specialty valves include: • Leads
• Fittings • Controls • Gauges and
transducers • Check valves • Custom porting
• Special coatings • Custom threading • Custom mounting
options • Mounting straps • Pressure switches
• Electrical connections (any type required)

Two further design options
for custom valves are axial valves, and those that run on bump and hold circuits. Axial
valves allow flow through the entire length of the valve, while bump and hold circuits
require a lower amount of energy to stay open than standard valves. By reducing
the amount of power required to open the valve, the same amount of work can
be done for a lower cost. We can create custom valves that operate on bump and hold
circuits, helping your company stay productive while also becoming more
energy efficient.

Another energy efficient
option is latching valves.
These valves require much
less energy to keep them in
the energized position.
When the valve needs to be
opened a brief pulse of full
rated voltage is applied, and
the valve is then held open
by an attached magnet. The
valve is then closed by the
application of another small
electrical pulse to create a
small opposing magnetic
field, which pushes the
valve closed.

Latching solenoid valves
require a greatly
reduced amount of
energy to operate. The
electrical current
needed to open them
typically last only 20 to
50 milliseconds. Because
these valves require so
little energy to operate,
they can produce the
results of much more
energy inefficient valves
for a much smaller cost.
