Solubility

Dewaxed bleached shellac is easy to be dissolved in an aqueous alkaline solution. This is done at a temperature of 600 C on stirring. As far as solubility is concerned dewaxed bleached shellac is soluble in solvents of hydroxyl group but insoluble in Glycerol, Palmitic acid and hydrocarbon. It is soluble in ethanol, methanol, Propanol, Formic etc.

Storage

Dewaxed bleached shellac can be stored in cold storage rooms, A.C. rooms or cool places. This is imperative in order to maintain its powder form.
