To most people, CSR simply means giving back

• Giving to indigent individuals and communities

• Planting trees at roundabouts

• Patching potholes all over the place

What does CSR really mean?

It’s a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model.

CSR policy functions as a built-in, self-regulating instrument through which a business monitors and ensures its active compliance with the spirit of the law, ethical standards, and international norms.

• As a corporate organisation, we need to understand and stay committed to our responsibility towards our consuming publics.

• As consumers and members of the ecosystem; we need to actively keep

organisations on their toes by demanding our rights and ensuring

they comply with global standards in every way.
