Off-The-Shelf AvailabilitySolus maintains a significant inventory of a wide range of roller types and sizes. This inventory is based on the most common sizes of replacement rollers for the most popular, standard industrial roller conveyors from manufacturers such as Hytrol, Rapistan and others. These replacement rollers will likely be smoother running, quieter and longer lasting than the originals.
Additionally, other Solus rollers are designed for use as new or replacements for typical conveyor roller returns. They are sized to fit Flexon-System Plast and other conveyor chains and belts.
Material SelectionThe cost effective standard plastic rollers manufactured by Solus are made of a special, proprietary PVC that is sized to exacting standards that ensure uniform thickness, rigidity and strength. The end bearings can be made from a variety of materials and in several configurations.

Special ApplicationsBecause of the wide variety of roller materials as well as the roller end bearing materials and configurations, Solus rollers can be configured to perform in a wide variety of applications. These capabilities include:
Reduced Noise. Plastic ball bearings are significantly quieter than steel, and when multiplied by a hundred, or a thousand rollers, can make a significant improvement in working conditions by reducing the overall plant noise level.
Abrasive Environments. Combining abrasion resistant plastics over metal cores provides the best of both worlds – strength and wear characteristics.
Sanitary Requirements. By using FDA approved materials for both the bearing and the roller in combination with a blind bore configuration, rollers can be constructed to minimize contamination areas and improve sanitation.
Reduced Operation CostsSolus rollers typically will outperform and outlast regular rollers by a significant margin. This means fewer roller replacements, and less downtime on a conveyor. Down time translates into lost productivity and increased operat-ing costs. Uptime means increased efficiency and reduced operating costs.

End Caps: Used to fill the ends of tubing so that small inexpensive flanged bearings can be used. Bearing Inserts: Typically made from Nyla-Ride™ material to provide an economical high performance bearing assembly.Hex Adapters: Used to slip over hex shafting so that the outside diameter of the adapter becomes a journal surface on which the bearing in the roller can rotate.

Roller Type
A single roller type, type A for instance, can have a variety of lengths and diameters while still using the same bearing configuration.
Specialty Rollers: Solus rollers come in a wide variety of configurations. One to fit your special need is just a phone call away.
Shaft Types: Choose from hex or round, 1/4 inch to 5/8" diameter, and carbon steel or stainless steel. A selection of stub shafts that bolt against a conveyor frame are also available.
