About the Project:
Work carried out by O’Brien
Construction of a natural turf pitch and MUGA pitch.
Phase 1 works involved preparation of the site including cut and fill to create a level field. The 9000m2 pitch area was lime stabilized to a depth of 300mm in order to create a solid formation for the pitch construction. All material on site was fully utilized “zero balance” and re-used when producing the two pitches.
O’Brien Contractors also carried out installation of the land drainage and connection to the existing storm drainage, foundations for the new changing facilities, including a new roadway to create access to the changing rooms and pitch.
