Gateway to the Great Bear Rainforest in supernatural British
Columbia.
Our idyllic resort and marina has been around for close to 70
years, and during that time we have learned a few things about
true hospitality.

The Complete Meeting Package
To make every event an exceptional experience, our
Complete Meeting Package is designed to meet all of your
conference needs, while nourishing the mind, body and
spirit.
The full day meeting package ties all the details together
including; accommodations, main meeting room, high speed
internet, chef prepared meals, decadent and healthy snacks as
well as bottomless coffee and tea to daily activities.
A dedicated conference manager is on site to assist and support
you throughout your event - from initial planning through
execution, giving you familiarity, peace of mind, and
confidence that every detail will be taken care of in a
professional and caring manner. Pleasing your delegates and
hosting a successful, hassle-free meeting has never been easier
with Shearwater Resort & Marina.
Arriving at Shearwater, your conference room will be set up as
per your requirements; be it theatre, classroom or u-shape
style, and made ready for your conference to begin.

The Coho Conference Room
A 1,500ft² room (28’x53’) on the second floor of the
Fishermen's Restaurant that offers all the amenities necessary
to host any large event from a business conference to a
birthday celebration to a poker tournament. Able to be
configured any number of ways, we can create the ideal space
that you have in mind.
A seasonal 650ft² deck is attached to this room, providing for
spectacular BBQ’s, relaxing refreshment breaks, or simply
soaking up the magnificent views before, during and after
your meeting.

The Shearwater Lodge—The Trophy Room
The Shearwater Lodge is a luxury 26 person hotel and
self-contained event centre. Complete with a custom designed
lounge, a river rock fireplace, pool table, poker table and wet
bar with daily housekeeping services.
‘The Trophy Room’ (the main dining area) quickly and easily
converts to a productive 510ft² (18’x25’) meeting space and is

of the Infrared Cedar Sauna, configured with either 2XL Twins

The Cedar Lodge
The Cedar Lodge is the traditional fishermen's inn with 27
rooms set into the hillside of Shearwater. With amazing ocean
views and stunning morning sunrises, the Cedar Lodge offers
the perfect balance of affordability and comfort on the Central
Coast.
Aside from single rooms, the Cedar Lodge can also
accommodate groups of up to four people in two separate
specialty suites. The Cedar Lodge also offers the Bears Den,
an upscale one bedroom suite with an additional hide-a-bed,
full kitchen and satellite television that is perfect for families
and extended visits.

with an adjoining shared bathroom
Ocean View Rooms ‘B’ with 1 double bed, mini fridge,
coffee maker, sink, desk, TV, with an adjoining shared
bathroom (toilet and shower).
Standard Room with 1 double bed, sink, desk, TV, with an
adjoining shared bathroom.
Bears Den 1 Bedroom suite with 1 double bed, including
kitchen, full satellite TV, with a sofa bed, and private bath-
room.
The Fishermen's Bar & Grill (Multiple configurations available)
The Fishermen's Bar & Grill is a 9,000ft² dining and
entertainment complex including a fully licensed restaurant,
authentic west coast pub, and private lounge. From the
moment you enter, you'll capture the true essence of the West
Coast of British Columbia, Canada.
The Restaurant can be configured several ways for your event.
There is the Ocean View portion of the facility which is
1,000ft² (70’x15’) and the main area is 1,100ft² (36.5’x30’)
with a 140ft² (7’x20’) stage.
Take advantage of the glorious waterfront atmosphere which
seats up to 100 people comfortably, and take in the view of the
beautiful B.C. coast while enjoying your meeting.

events. Given the intimate size of Shearwater, many groups
often opt for a full resort buyout.

Shearwater offers you the ultimate BC fishing adventure.
Arguably some of the finest saltwater sport fishing on the
coast is at your doorstep. The
'Hot Spots' are located 5 to 45
minutes from the resort in the
surrounding protected channels
and inlets. Semi-guided, fully
and unguided sport fishing pack-
ages can be arranged.
Hot Springs
Eucott Hot Spring is situated in a
beautiful bay just off the Dean
Channel. As you soak in the tub you
will lose yourself with the serene
beauty of the bay and the Coastal
Mountains surrounding you.

The Sacred Cedar Spa The Sacred
Cedar Spa is found within the
Shearwater Lodge and offers guests a

Getting to Shearwater
By Air
Private and other chartered aircraft are welcome at Shearwater’s
3000’ paved airstrip on Denny Island. Our strip has a large
apron for long term parking of aircraft. We can also easily ac-
commodate private helicopters on our large waterside helipad or
at the airstrip.
Bella Bella has convenient daily scheduled air service to and
from Vancouver and Vancouver Island ( Port Hardy, Comox,
Campbell River) on Pacific Coastal Airlines.

Seabus from Bella Bella
Shearwater operates a scheduled Seabus service to & from the
government wharf in Bella Bella. This provides a convenient
way to visit the village, as well as access the Bella Bella airport.
Our 33 passenger Seabus is Canadian Steamship approved with
certified Captain and Crew. Service is provided approximately
every 1-1.5 hours, and is coordinated with the airline schedules.
Policies and Payments:
Please contact the conference manager at least 4 weeks in
advance to finalize all catering and to guarantee product
availability. Some menu items may be subject to seasonal
availability. You will be notified of any substitutions as early as
possible.
All rates will be guaranteed from the date of receipt of a signed
agreement by both parties, as provided to the client by a
Shearwater representative. Any changes to the agreement must
be approved by a Shearwater representative.
All rates are subject to a 17% Gratuity (food and beverage only)
and 5% GST. Prices and taxes are subject to change without
prior notice.
As dictated by Provincial Liquor and Health Regulations, all
food and beverage consumed on our premises must be
purchased through Shearwater.
Menu selection cannot be guaranteed when the guaranteed
number attending increases less than 72 hours prior to the
function.
A guaranteed number of people attending a food and beverage
function must be confirmed 72 hours prior to the function.
Quoted rates will be charged based on the guaranteed number or
number in attendance, whichever is greater. If a guaranteed
number is not received 72 hours prior to the function, the charge
levied will be based on the expected number or number in
attendance, whichever is greater.
Due to space and staffing limitations, we require minimum dollar
amounts for any food and beverage function. The minimum
number of guests required is stated directly on the menus.
A $50 per hour (4 hour minimum) bartender charge will be levied
when a private bar is required for a function.
A $75 labour charge will be levied on any room set up changes
within 24 hours of the function.
A $150 daily housekeeping charge will be levied on unlicensed
rooms used as hospitality unit.
A minimum $150 daily catering charge will be levied on
hospitality units requiring service such as glassware, plastic cups,
ice etc.
Space and menu items will not be guaranteed until a credit card
number and a 75% nonrefundable deposit has been received.
Balance of payment is due upon completion of the function and
before departure unless prior arrangements have been made with
Shearwater and included in the contract. Payment can be made
with credit cards accepted by Shearwater. Personal or company
cheques are not accepted unless prior authorization is given by
Shearwater.
Reservation Policy: Upon making a reservation with Shearwater
Resort and Marina, your group will be contracted for their
arrangements. Generally, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is
required 14 days from the time of confirming a reservation, then
full payment of the booking is required at least 30 days prior to
arrival. Cancellations with less than 30 days’ notice are non-
refundable.

Shearwater is a community that has carefully grown with time
and become an easily accessible port of call for mariners, the
local community and tourists alike. It is important to us that we
use our resources wisely to minimize our impact on the land in
order to preserve our pristine environment.
We are the most northerly marina and eco-destination
participating in the ‘Leave No Trace’ environmental program in
B.C. and we operate our own artesian well, which provides you
with drinking water many times purer than most municipal
water plants. We operate a recycling program for glass, plastic
bottles and paper servicing the resort, Denny Island and our
guests.
