Concrete Block Wall Sealers

There are a few options for sealing block wall and which sealer is best for your block wall depends on where the block wall is located and why you want to seal it.

Exterior Block Wall

• Freestanding wall: A freestanding block wall needs to be protected from the elements so a densifier like the Armor S2000 or Armor L3000 are most appropriate.

• Retaining wall: If the wall has soil on one side, it is exposed to water and moisture. If the block becomes too saturated for too long, it will start to deteriorate. The SX5000 water repellent is most appropriate. Another option to help save costs is to seal the side of the block with the soil with the SX5000 and the side exposed with the L3000.

Interior Block Wall

If you want to strengthen the block wall, the L3000 is the obvious choice. If you want to waterproof the wall or reduce moisture penetration, you need the Armor SX5000.

The Armor S2000 concrete sealer is a highly concentrated, enhanced silicate-based sealer, which penetrates deeper, carries more active minerals, and seals tighter than any other concrete sealer on the market. The Armor L3000 sealer is a best-selling industrial-grade concrete densifier & hardener on the market - used for waterproofing, strengthening, and protecting concrete. Penetrates up to 2″ and is GUARANTEED FOR LIFE. The Armor L3000 sealer is free of VOC’s and noxious fumes.Armor L3000 concrete densifier and chemical hardener compound is a ready-to-use, colorless liquid, formulated with chemically reactive raw materials to harden and dustproof concrete. When properly applied, Armor L3000 will offer substantial improvement in abrasion and chemical resistance and will significantly improve the durability of the concrete surface when compared to untreated concrete. As Armor L3000 is applied and penetrates into the concrete surface, a chemical reaction takes place, producing a byproduct that fills in the pores of the concrete.

The Armor SX5000 is a low-VOC, solvent based silane/siloxane based water repellent for concrete, cinderblock (CMU), brick, and unglazed tile. The Armor SX5000 penetrates and reacts with minerals within the substrate to create a hydrophobic barrier against water absorption. Solvent based silane-siloxane sealers have been proven to bond better, last longer, and perform better than water based silane/siloxane sealers!

The Armor SX5000WB is zero VOC, water-based silane/siloxane based water repellent for concrete, cinderblock (CMU), brick and unglazed tile. The Armor SX5000 WB penetrates up to 2″ and reacts with minerals within the substrate to create a hydrophobic barrier against water absorption. When properly applied, the Armor SX5000 will repel water for up to 10 years!
