producto de 3 condiciones:
1. La claridad y coherencia del contenido del texto (estructura, léxico, sintaxis, cohesión interna, etc.)
2. Del grado en que el conocimiento previoconocimiento previo del lector sea pertinente para el contenido del texto.
3. De las estrategiasestrategias que el lector utiliza para intensificar la comprensión.
conocimiento previo:conocimiento previo: no necesariamente que “sepa” el contenido. Que entre éste y su conocimiento haya distancia óptima que le permita el proceso de atribución de significados

“pensamiento estratégico” que permite avanzar en función de criterios de eficacia
“son útiles para regular la actividad de las personas en la medida que su aplicación permite seleccionar, evaluar, persistir o abandonar acciones para conseguir una meta” (Valls, 1990). No detallan ni prescriben totalmente el curso de una acción. Por lo mismo, son independientes de un ámbito particular y pueden contextualizarse. Implican autoevaluación y autocontrol (posibilidad de modificar).

• Procedimientos de orden superior que permiten controlar y regular la “acción inteligente”.
• Si las estrategias son procedimientos, entonces, se pueden enseñar y aprender.
• Si son de orden superior, no pueden ser tratadas como técnicas, habilidades, etc.
Su característica: capacidad para representarse y analizar problemas, y la flexibilidad para dar con soluciones.
