CASE STUDY: Coral Hotels
Coral Hotels trusts NAVIHOTEL for its proven experience in the hospitality industry.
Coral is a chain of tourist exploitation, with base in Tenerife, which
was founded in 1986 by Mr. Juan Barreiro, current president. It
currently consists of 10 establishments, intended for hotels and
apartments of 2, 3 and 4 stars.
SITUATION The organization had a computer system based initially on MSDOS
and later on Cobol, managed by a local IT company.
It originally covered the needs of both the reservation centre and
the purchase centre, but little by little they started realizing that
this computer system never really consolidated and that they
therefore needed another solution.
SOLUTION Sistemas de Gestion was the only Microsoft Dynamics Navision
partner, exclusive for hotels, with a broad portfolio of facilities and
proved experience. Navihotel was the fully integrated system they
were looking for and its Purchase Centre was the main reason for
change.
The adaptability to every need, even though it led to many work
hours, meant a specific outcome for each case.
Together with all the above, the proven experience and references
from the sector were the reason for making of Navihotel the
chosen software.
BENEFITS The implantation of Navihotel has solved all specific problems of
Coral Hotels such as the improvement of the day to day
administration due to full integration compared with the previous
system of external accounting.
Solving problems within the management of Operations and
Accounting and improving the analysis of management and daily
work meant more time to analyze purchases and a more
profound dedication to the seeking of suppliers.
It is worth remarking the good relation between the Sistemas de
Gestion team and Coral Hotels, as not only the program is
adjustable, but it also adjusted to the needs of the client as,
independently from the consultant, there is always availability.
It has currently been implemented to online web reservations and
is surely a competitive reservation engine that gives expected
benefits for the company once 100% installed.
