How to:View Payment Deposit

Click on the Reports tab

Use the drop down menu to choose the correct report

The Account Summary Report will display every transaction processed through CareCap

The Accounts Receivable Report will display the status of every account that is currently active

The Delinquent Accounts Report will display every account where payment has been unsuccessful for one or more billing cycles

The Payment Deposit Report will display each deposit CareCap has made to your business. This is the most commonly used report and the one explained here

CareCap makes deposits to your bank account once a week. Use the drop down menu to choose the time period you would like to report on

In this case, we will use the ‘Between’ option to look at deposits made in October

Enter the start and end date and then click View

The report will appear in a new window. You may need to check your pop-up blocker settings if you don’t see the report immediately

The Principal Amount reflects the payments customers have made toward their outstanding balance. The 1% management fee has already been deducted; this entire amount goes towards the outstanding balance owed to your business. Principal Amount should be reconciled with your Patient/ Customer Management System.

The Merchant Fee is the cost associated with moving money from a credit card, debit card or bank account. We net settle (automatically deduct) these fees in each weekly deposit. The Merchant Fee should be reconciled with your accounting system.

The Deposited Amount is the amount CareCap deposited into your bank account. This is equal to the Principal Amount minus the Merchant Fee. The Deposited Amount should be reconciled against your bank statement.

To see more detail about a weekly deposit, click on the (+) next to the Deposit Date
