☆ Self-ignition Carbonization Furnace Features
This type charcoal carbonizing stove adopts self-ignition principle to
decompose the briquettes into combustible gas, wood tar and charcoal. It
can be applied to carbonize wood, logs, biomass briquettes, fruit shell and
bamboo, etc. This charcoal carbonization machine is featured with easy
operation, high efficiency, no smoke, etc. Made of mobile steel plates,
this machine has large effective volume and long service time.

◇ Adopting advanced thermal current technology, this machine can
greatly improve carbonizing rate from 80% to 99%.

more than 95%.
Note: About hoist type hot airflow carbon furnace, we just provide three
inner stoves for free, if you want furnace continuous working, need buy
additional inner stove. And mostly, because the shipping cost, our
customers just ask our engineer send the drawing of inner stove to them,
then they make it at their local.
Charcoal Carbonizing Process
Carbonization is a very important process for making charcoal briquettes.

The whole charcoal carbonizing process can be divided into the following
three stages
1. Briquettes Drying Stage
From the ignition until the temperature reach 160℃ , the biomass sticks
moisture evaporates steadily mainly depends on the heating resource and
independent burning value. There are no chemical changes in this stage.
2. Initial Carbonization Stage
This process mainly depends on the briquettes burning to produce heat
and makes the temperature rise to 160~280℃ . The biomass briquettes
start to have thermal deposition. For example, the hemicellulose
decomposes into CO2, CO and amount of acetic acid.
3. Comprehensive Carbonizing Stage(temperature 300~650℃)
In this stage, the biomass material undertakes chemical decomposition
radically. It produces much acetic acid, carbinol and wood tar as well as
combustible gas including methane and ethylene. These gases contributes
to making a high temperature and the biomass briquettes are distilled into
charcoal.
Notice
If you want to make pyrocarbon, the furnace temperature should reach
800℃~1000℃.

How to Choose Suitable Carbonization Stove?
The carbonizing technology and carbonization furnace play an important
role in the charcoal briquetting plant. Every one should consider how to
choose the most cost-effective machine for your plant according to the
budget, site condition and capacity. The following is comparison between
steel plate carbonization furnace and carbonization kiln.
☆ Steel Plate Carbonization
Advantages

1. Good sealed performance.
2. Long service life, usually more than 5 years.
3. High refractoriness. If the combustion chamber is made of insulating
brick, its refractoriness can be 400~500℃; for furnace chamber made of
high temperature castable, the refractoriness can be 1300℃ which can be
used for making pyrocarbon.
4. Quick ignition and even air inlet, the furnace temperature is adjustable.
5. Equipped with wood tar separator, reducing environmental pollution.
6. Short carbonizing period.
Disadvantages
More building cost than kiln and need extra transporting fees.
☆ Charcoal Carbonization Kiln
Advantages: low investment and simple construction
Disadvantages:
1. Long time ignition time, needing to burnsome briquettes.
2. Uneven air inlet. The briquettes cannot be carbonized completely.
3. Long processing time, 15-20 days.
4. Slow cooling, need cool water to help cool down the temperature.
5. No wood tar separator, making pollution.
