• CCIs are a key economic growth sector
• Creative SpIN will enable CCI sector to inspire a sustainable and integrated model of socio-economic development.

Creative SpIN Objective SpIN is an acronym for ‘Spillovers of Innovation’ Aims to:
•Connect Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI’s) with other sectors of the economy and public/social services’
•Provide a “test-bed” for innovation

Creativity – Multi-dimensional
Creativity” is defined as a cross-sector and multidisciplinary way, mixing elements of “artistic creativity”, “economic innovation” as well as “technological innovation.”

Cross Sector Spillovers• Each City has identified key sector to test CCI

• Birmingham has chosen the Health Sector
• Each City will develop processes and a multi disciplinary skills approach to support cross-sector collaborations.

Examples of Spillover
How: a « war » room involving artists, film makers, designers, etc. to rethink the company and create a new narrative.
How: artistic/creative exercises using interactive systems based in analysing data from body movements and transforming them in sound and visual perceptions allowing the user to communicate with its body
How: collaboration between 30 companies from the healthcare cluster Eurasanté (LM) and a design company.

Examples of Spillovers
How: workplace and exhibition area for entrepreneurs, students, artists, scientists and citizens at Buda Island, as part of urban reg. process.
How: merging the Helsinki University of Technology, the Helsinki School of Economics, and the University of Art and Design Helsinki.
