Authorised Capital of The Company

• Authorized capital is the amount of capital with which a company is registered with the registrar of companies

• Authorized capital is also called registered capital or Nominal capital

• It is the Capital raised through selling shares

• Company needs to take approval of the shareholders of the company when increasing authorized capital.

• The Company shall pay the stamp duty and government fees for such an increase if any

• A Company cannot be registered without declaring the authorized capital

• The initial authorized capital for a Private Limited Company should be Rs. 1 lakh and for a Public Company it should be Rs. 5 lakh

• A Company needs to mention its share capital in different forms to be filed in accordance with Annual filing with ROC
