GENERAL DEFINITION OF THE

Myspace is a social media site owned by a

company called Specific Media LLC and a

singer-actor Justin Timberlake.

It is headquartered in California USA.

On MySpace everyone can create their own

account where they can connect with friends

and artists, discover music, articles and

news and share their own music, videos and

pictures.

Myspace was created in August 2003.

In the middle of 2006 Myspace had nearly 95 millionusers and nearly 500 000 new users weekly.

In April 2008 Myspace was overtaken by Facebook and itstarted to loose 10 000 users monthly.

In January 2013 it opened its new totally renewed morecollective website.

Today Myspace has around 36 million users.

Myspace nowadays is about connecting with people and music as well as discovering undiscovered artists, tracks, news etc.

Connect with artists & your favorite music and the site will recommend you for new music in your taste to discover.

Latest information about newest tracks and artists can be found on Myspace by browsing interviews, videos and mixes in your taste.

Browsing has made innovative and easy by just starting typing –no matter where you are inside the website.

Myspace is also a scene for new artists and bands to show their outputs and get more fans.

It´s a music player that consists of the largest digital music library of the world.

Organizations who are somehow related to music are in my opinion

free to use Myspace for marketing.

Because of it´s nature of communicativeness it could be a good

channel for companies to advertise there in communicative way.

Creating a own account for company could be a place where people

are able to share their thoughts about the company and connect with it

in innovative way, in Myspace`s style.

As accounts are totally customizable from head to the toe; cover

photos, connects and basically everything are changeable, can

companies create one account in their own unique style.

Companies could also have more rights for customization of profile.
