Most companies believe there are enough

experienced professionals on the market to easily

find the right people for any vacancy. The truth is

there is a growing deficit of highly skilled finance

and audit professionals on the Romanian market.

At the same time the complexity of the job

requirements is increasing together with the

business challenges of the organisation.

Expectation

gap

There are difficulties in articulating and

communicating the technical requirements and

management expectations to the candidates until

late in of after the recruitment process. There is

risk that candidates do not fully understand the

role until they are employed, just to find

themselves in the wrong place.

Duration The duration of the recruitment process from

initiation to employment is too long (up to

several months). Key time consuming activities

include job advertising, initial screening of a large

number of CVs, technical and soft skills

assessment.

Volume For the last two years the number of active

jobseekers on the market increased significantly

and the average desired salary decreased. From

a volume perspective this is a positive trend for

the employers. However, it will take more time

volumes of applications to an advertised vacancy

(over 3-400 applications is not uncommon).
