All you should know about Quarella

Quarella Quartz worktops is an engineered stone which has bridged the gap between technology and nature, by delivering surfaces that are nearly zero maintenance. The Quartz product ranges can be used outdoors and indoors. It is able to meet every hard surfacing requirement in the interior design and building industries. It is usually supplied in a tile or slab form and available in more than 30 colours and their combinations, the possibility of finding your designed colour combination in the product is just endless.

Quarella is an engineered composite stone that is made using state-of-the-art production technology, which mixes very high quantities of natural quartz (95%) with a special bonding agent. Because of this unique process of production, it delivers a highly consistent material which has a uniform porosity level and density. The final product is not only aesthetic, but also economical and the applications of Quarella to building projects are not only versatile, but also offer a durable and tasteful alternative to natural stones or other stone composite products.

Quarella worktops are acid and chemical resistant, hygienic, non porous, colour consistent, heat resistant, easy to clean, stain resistant and scratch resistant. The flexibility of being produced in a slab form has enabled the product to find diverse use in a range of applications such as kitchen worktops, wall cladding, vanity and bathroom, shopping centres, offices and architectural buildings.

The company has an annual output of 4,000,000 square metres. It is located in northern Italy near to a town called Verona, which is also near the important marble quarries regions of Italy. For over 40 years the company has supplied Quarella and composite stones to the international and local markets.

It is important to note that Quarella has its own resin producing plant, which produces their own unique binding agent. They are the only company in the world that is able to get into the resin production business. The company

also boasts of having one of the most sophisticated Research and Development (R&D) laboratories in the world. The bulk of their system is predicated on the Breton's vacuum vibro-compression system; however, they have equally modified it with their own technology.

The company have always boasted of having an attractive and very broad colour range which customers have found appealing. They also have long offered a series of surface finishes which are different from the common polished worktop finish.

Just recently, Quarella announced the introduction of a budget quartz series targeted at developers and contracts, which is called EVO. It comes in thin slab sizes with a 600mm width pieces. The EVO series is expected to really shake up the Quartz industry as it is not plain colours, but comes in highly sweeping swirls plus other patterned colours that are very eye-catching without hurting the pockets.
