Are You Social Media Marksman?
When I meet new people and give them my business card with my motto on top “Your Hashtag Marketing Professional”
they say: “Oh, Hashtag Marketing, cool, it’s about Twitter,
right?”.
So, my dear friends, this story is especially for you. I believe
it might help your business.
Let’s imagine that your social media posts are your
gunshots. You have different shooting marks (targets). They
are your social media accounts. All targets have their own
special bullets.
In this way if you have Twitter target - you have Twitter
bullets, if you have Google+ target - you have Google+
bullets, etc. You can’t shoot at Google+ target with a Twitter
bullet like you are not able to publish on Google+ from your
Twitter account. So, the more targets (SM accounts) you
have – the more diverse bullets you have in your arsenal. Imagine you started to shoot. Every shot at one of the
target is one post of yours. The more shots (posts) – the
more holes in your target. The more holes in the target –
the more visible it is. It’s visible for your instructor, who is
your customer. The most successful shooting is when your
target is one big gaping hole. Because such a hole is more
visible. This means you have a lot of information about your
product or service in one special place (on Twitter,
Instagram, Google+, etc).
Is there a faster way to attract the instructor’s
attention?
Yes, and now you will learn this secret.
All you need to do is to mark all your bullets with your
special hashtag. It’s your unique hashtag which you create
to represent your business in the social media space. So,
such a hashtag is your social media business card.
The secret is easy as a pie. When you shoot with hashtag
marked bullets, you hit one more target. This target is your
informational cloud or your hashtag cloud. It means that all
you posts from different social media are presented in one
place. The more hits in one place – the more it’s visible for
instructor.
Now let’s come back to question of my friends: “Oh, Hashtag
Marketing, it’s about Twitter, right?”. My answer is: “Today it’s not only Twitter.”
