Apnacircle.com a professional networking site merged with world No.2 professional networking French company

called Viadeo with a user base of 7 million.

Since its inception, ApnaCircle.com founded by Mr. Yogesh Bansal has been focusing on giving the perfect blend of

professional and social networking opportunities. The company has been experiencing phenomenal growth and

popularity amongst the Indian community. In a short span, Apnacircle’s user strength has crossed the half a million

mark and this says a lot about the growing popularity of the networking site.

In fact, its +40 m$ merger with Viadeo has helped Apnacircle to bring in invaluable knowledge to the

development to its network. The merger has also enabled the company to provide a global platform to its Indian users.

Su-kam outsourced its product R&D, Promoter promised for 50 Lakhs investment to GVC

GVC is a embedded design and development company

focusing on low cost, simple and reliable embedded designs with over 200 ready designs in various segments including

cable TV, audio, air conditioning, home and industrial automation. GVC has already applied for three patents, got

copyright for their 8 designs. In 2008, GVC has designed and installed over 60 traffic

lights controllers, some with built in GSM interface. In 2008, GVC has designed and delivered 116 units of Token

Dispensers to Delhi Metro. In 2009, GVC has designed and delivered 5 units to Indian

Railways, Assam for saving energy by controlling station lights by Train Driver,

In 2008-09 GVC has applied for three patents in the field of traffic lights, power monitoring and CCTV switchers

AII is able to mobilize 50 Lakh Angle Investment Commitment from Su-kam and 60 Lakhs from SIDBI SAS for its power

monitor product.

Circuit Sutra Technology is offered the term sheet in Aug,09 from SIDBI,SAS for 1 Crore Collateral Free

Funding through AII

CircuitSutra Technologies Pvt Ltd was started in November, 2005 and is able to establish itself as the centre of

excellence in SystemC based System On Chip (SoC) Modeling. CircuitSutra has an in-depth understanding of

various standards in modeling domain (OSCI TLM2.0, STARC TL Guidelines, GreenSocs open source

infrastructure for Tool independent model development, OCP-IP TLM Kit). Circuit Sutra is providing SystemC

modeling services to a worldwide customer base, which range from small fabless organizations to the top ten

semiconductor companies.

AII had conducted TiE mentoring clinic organizer conducted more than 250 mentoring

session by VC, Angels, technologist and Evangelist. More than 100 entrepreneurs

were benefited by mentoring clinic. Some of the Key features are as following:

Around 100 mentor visited the clinic from across the world, Around 40 investors visited the clinic and interacted with the entrepreneurs. Dr. A.S Rao, Advisor, DSIR, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India visited

the mentoring clinic and took around 8 mentoring sessions.

Amity Innovation Incubator and Sanshadow team conducted a two hour workshop on software patenting issues at the Amity Incubation Center.. The ground rules for software patenting were explained to startups, Amity institute faculties

Dr. Shaleen Raizada, M.D, Sanshadow consultants Pvt. Ltd. clarified that software “per se” is not patentable in India, but when embedded in hardware or a device, it can become patentable. She explained to the participants the laws and rules of software patenting and also the process of foreign filing. The differences with USA laws on software patenting were also highlighted.

Amity Innovation Incubator was evaluation partnered for Economic Times & Indian Angel Network. AII evaluated about 500 deals from Delhi, Bangalore, Calcutta, and Pune for investments. The project was assisted by about 100 Management Faculties.

Mr. Aseem Chauhan, Chief Executive of Amity Innovation Incubator along with Mr. Sanjeev Bhikchandani, Mr. Anupama Arya,, Mr. Pradeep Gupta, Mr. Mohit Goel, Mr. Sunil Kalra, Mr. Sanjay Bhasin mentored a group of 1000 start-up from Delhi NCR over various market strategy and financial issued faced by Start-up.

Amity Innovation Incubator organized a one day workshop on Project Funding & Technical Consulting at University Campus for researcher and Start-ups. 250 people including 150 faculties, research scholars & 40 Start-ups attended the workshop. Chief Guest Mr. Madhav lal, Additional Secretary & development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises informed “how Government is encouraging micro, Small Scale & medium scale enterprises & stressed on the need of commercializing innovation”.

 Mr. Navyug Manhot, Chairman, QAI Global, spoke about Innovation Trends in India and important elements required for successful commercialization. Prof Arun Sahay, Professor, MDI talked about steps involved in technology commercialization. Dr. Manendra Pal talked about a variety of schemes of technology development board (TDB), which funds innovating projects, so that proposal can be formulated & how will the research work be funded thereafter. On the similar lines spoke Dr. P.K. Dutta from DSIR, specifically relating to his own department; followed by Dr. Raghunandan R from JSS STEP gave a brief overview of about what kind of projects are actually being funded & threw light on the time frame of getting of loan in a project .
