Background
The first Airport IT Trends Survey was launched in 2004 Airline Business and SITA have collaborated for over 7 years
on the Airline IT Trends Survey which serves as the industry benchmark
Cross-referencing the two surveys provides a detailed insight into the current shape of IT in a challenging air transport environment
The survey aims to set out key industry benchmarks in the areas of: – Management/strategic issues– Outsourcing– Technology trends– Security and Related Trends

Survey response
This year’s survey results are based on responses from 79 respondents representing:– Over 191 airports
– 48% of the revenues of the Top 100 airports
– 66% of the passenger traffic amongst the Top 100 (52% of the Top 200).**Source: Airline Business - Airports Financial & Traffic Ranking 2004/05
