Agile TourAgile Tour is the biggest international event revolving around Agile project management and Agile management (80 cities, 25 countries). Agile Tour is managed by the NGO Agile World University.

AGILE:Community

The Agile method has been developing for 15 years through communities that organize events from small one-hour meetings gathering some practitioners and beginners to large conferences with thousands of participants for one week, and holding more than 15 presentations in parallel.

The website of the Scrum Alliance Association, one of the most important association of the Agile community (400,000 members in more than 175 countries), includes more than 380 registered groups, out of which two thirds are in the US and in Europe, while less than 10 are in the Middle East.

Agile Lebanon:

Established in 2013, Agile Liban is a registered NGO at the Ministry of Interior.

Agile Lebanon strives to support the agile community in Lebanon and the Middle East where it exerts efforts to improve the efficiency and performance of the knowledge industry.

That’s why Agile Lebanon organizes regular meetups as well as, the Agile Tour Beirut Conference since 2013, the unconference #PLAY14 Beirut and co-organized the conference in Dubai in 2015 and 2016

Bjarte BogsnesBjarte Bosgnes is  the Vice President Performance Management Development of Statoil (130  bn Turnover); he is also the chairman of the Beyond Budgeting Round Table.Bjarte Bogsnes has a long

international career, both in Finance and HR. He is currently heading up the Beyond Budgeting implementation at Statoil, Scandinavia's largest company with operations in 36 countries and a turnover of 130 bn USD. Bjarte is Chairman of Beyond Budgeting Round Table Europe (BBRT), and is a popular international business speaker and winner of a Harvard Business Review/McKinsey Management Innovation award. He is the author of "Implementing Beyond Budgeting - Unlocking the Performance Potential", where he writes about his implementation experiences. Statoil realized that traditional leadership and management practices no longer work in today's competence organizations operating in business environments more complex, dynamic and unpredictable than ever. The company implemented innovative alternatives to traditional management, like abolishing traditional budgets and calendar-based management in favor of more decentralized, Agile and human processes.

Arie Van Bennekum

Arie Van Bennekum is co-author of the Agile Manifesto, which is at the origin of the Agile movement that changed the landscape of the IT industry.

Arie has been a pragmatic who embeds his pragmatism in structure and common sense during his complete 30 year working career. This eventually led him to being an agile expert and one of the authors of the Agile Manifesto. He implements Agile thinking, Agile Project Management, Agile techniques, etc. since 20 years and iterates with his clients in both small and big projects towards a true successful Return on Investment.Agile Project Management and end user involvement have his focus when he speaks, presents, demonstrates and lectures about Agile as a consultant, as chair of the Agile Consortium International and as a lecturer at the Rotterdam University for Applied Sciences where he lectures since 1994. He is connected to the Rotterdam University not only on Agile in general but also specific on project management, user involvement, facilitation, and as a graduation and project coach.
