The Plan aims to improve citizens quality of life by working on four strategic objectives: public transport priority, healthy mobility, traffic order & safey, and intelligent travel. Therefore, various actions are being implemented that re-allocate road space use to reduce travel time and improve safety.

Benefits:• Up to 40% travel time reduction that directly affects 90.000 passengers per day. • Reduction of environmental impact as traffic flows continuously, avoiding repetitive braking. • Same fare than regular buses. Stations:• 21 stations at the centre of the pavement at 400 metres each. Easy and safe getting on and off the bus as stations are at bus level. • Accessibility for the blind and disable.
Articulated buses:• Capacity for 160 passengers. Low environmental impact: fewer gas emissions and less noise than regular buses. • Improved safety: buses can turn easily, internal and external CCTV, automatic transmission and electronic controls.

• Real time information for passengers: variable message signs on stations with service information.
• New corridors: more than 200 km of new corridors under study.
• Covered stations.

• 70km of cycle lanes developed in the last two years. The first cycle network in the country.
• According to surveys, 76% of residents support the existence of cycle lanes.

• Implementation of 25 km of bus priority lanes, reducing travel time by 20%.
• Buses are redirected from narrow roads to avenues, improving safety and reducing noise and air pollution.
• 43 bus lines affected.
