is a business and should be treated as such.
l The reason people fail is because they don't create quality content that sells, and not giving their business time to grow.
l Keyword research is step one if you plan to rank in the search engines.
18 Basic Blogging Don'ts:
l Don't rob fellow bloggers content.
l Don't quit educating yourself on your blog niche.
l Don't stop improving on your content, get a readers opinion and learn from this.
l Don't forget who your writing for, know your audience and what solution are they searching for, and are you providing the answer.
l Don't forget to use social media marketing strategies, if you're marketing.
l Don't forget SEO techniques, if you're marketing.
l Don't ignore social engagement on your blog, reply to comments in a timely fashion.
l Don't forget to provide a contact me page.
l Don't reply to hate mail.
l Don't quit blogging, it's frustrating when you're getting started. You feel like you're writing content for no audience but your break through could be tomorrow.
l Don't comment spam sites for back links.
l Don't forget to keep your content clean, free from offensive subjects and inappropriate language.
l Don't just create content without promoting it.
l Don't forget to provide value for your visitors/readers, make your content entertaining and interesting or make it evoke an emotion.
l Don't keyword stuff your content to the point it doesn't make sense.
l Don't forget you're unique just like everybody else.
l Don't write boring headlines.
l Don't forget to use numbered lists like this one, occasionally.
