DEIK was established by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) under the directives of President Turgut Ozal in 1986
Primary Purpose:1) assist private sector in opening up to foreign markets, and
coordinate private sectors activities for this purpose2) guide private sector in opening up to foreign markets3) organize business delegations and activities to facilitate
this process

DEIK is a Business Association aimed at integrating the Turkish private sector into Global Value Chain and promoting its Value Chain Development

• Increase international competitiveness of the Turkish private sector
• Build a worldwide network of strategic business partnerships that would enhance the Turkish private sectors’ capacity for international growth

• Providing research assistance on economic, political, and social
issues of importance to the Turkish business.

• Creating strategies and formulating policies for the private sector
