Our Technology What are Vacuum Sewer SystemsVacuum sewer systems are

Collection Systems for domestic waste water

Easy to install systems for waste water within low and medium dense residential, industrial, commercial or mixed use areas

State-of-the-art technology, eco-friendly, safe and operator friendly systems

Alternatives for conventional gravity sewer systems under difficult conditions

Vacuum sewer systems are NOT

Transportation systems for waste water (pumping station replacement)

Main collectors for large sewer systems

Collection systems for storm water (mixed systems)

Vacuum advantages constructionFlexibility during construction progress Even unexpected obstacles discovered during construction works can easily be bypassed by a modified and more flexible vacuum sewer pipe laying

Vacuum advantages sustainable solution for a green future - no exfiltration possible!Roediger Vacuum sewer systems | 9/7/2016Due to the pressure gradient there will be no exfiltration in vacuum sewerage systems. Flexible PVC/ HDPE pipes guarantee a tight pipe network with long-term lifetime cycles!

No contamination of groundwater!

Page 13

Vacuum advantages sustainable solution for a green future - same trenchFresh water pipes and irrigation pipes can be installed together in ONE trench with the vacuum sewer pipe!

Roediger Vacuum sewer systems | 9/7/2016

The fresh water pipeline must be installed in a separate trench and on a higher level than the sewer pipe.

It is possible and allowed to install both, the potable water pipe as well as the vacuum sewer pipe, within one single trench.

Page 14

Vacuum advantages sustainable solution for a green future - no undetected infiltration possible!Roediger Vacuum sewer systems | 9/7/2016

In a Roediger vacuum sewer system any leakage will be identified immediately through an extended pump-run time. Consequently there will be no undetected infiltration of rain-/storm- or groundwater into the sewage pipe network, diluting the biological condition of the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP). Knowing that STPs are responsible for up to 40% of the energy consumption of small communities, the pressing question is: Why spending money for treating just little polluted rain water?

No contamination of groundwater!

Summary of advantages Closed system: no leakage, no exfiltration, no odour No manholes; no rubbish into sewer No sedimentation due to high velocity in the sewer pipes; no flushing required Tolerating fluctuating flows Flexible system; easy design adaption of profiles during construction phase Only one central vacuum station: no further lifting stations required No electrical connections except at the central vacuum station Small diameter pipes (d90 to d250); HDPE (SDR11) or PVC (PN10) Shallow, fast and easy trenching (cost savings) Reduced O&M equipment /cost Reduced H2S and other fouling gasesPage 17
