NEW DELHI, India, January 28, 2016 – This year, Ford is givingIndian consumers their first opportunity to own the iconic FordMustang for themselves.

Debuting ahead of the Delhi Auto Expo 2016 and set to hit Indianshowrooms later this year, the new Mustang will bring the world-class performance and refinement of Ford’s iconic pony car toIndia’s roads.

Unmistakable design

The clean-sheet design of the new Mustang evokes the essentialcharacter of the brand, retaining key design elements – includingthe long sculpted hood and short rear deck – with contemporaryexecution. A lower, wider stance with a reduction in roof height, andwider rear fenders and track are the key design features that definethe new Mustang.

Inside, drivers will find information and controls all readilyaccessible in the aviation-inspired cockpit, which is executed withthe highest degree of craftsmanship ever found in a Mustang.A large, high-definition display screen puts vehicle informationright in front of the driver in the roomier cabin while improvedergonomics and tactile switches and knobs provide better control.

The increased width and a new rear suspension contribute toimproved shoulder and hip room for rear-seat passengers, and amore usefully shaped trunk can accommodate two golf bags.

Engineered with passion

Ford engineers equipped the Mustang with new front and rearsuspension systems. At the front, a new perimeter sub-framehelps to stiffen the structure while reducing mass, providing abetter foundation for more predictable wheel control that benefitshandling, steering, and ride.

At the rear is an all-new integral-link independent rear suspension.The geometry, springs, dampers and bushings all have beenspecifically modified and tuned for this high-performanceapplication. New aluminum rear knuckles help reduce un-sprungmass for improved ride and handling.

The new Ford Mustang comes equipped with the latest edition ofthe throaty 5.0-liter V8, now featuring an upgraded valve-train andcylinder heads that yield more than 420 horsepower and 529 Nmof torque. A new intake manifold improves low-speed breathing forbetter fuel economy, idle stability, and emissions.

The Smartest Mustang ever

The new Ford Mustang features a range of smart technologiesproviding drivers with enhanced information, control, andconnectivity when they want it.

Ford’s award-winning SYNC connectivity system allows drivers tocontrol their in-car entertainment using voice commands, keepingtheir hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Premium featureslike navigation, push button start, passive entry, power foldingmirrors, and a rear camera are standard on the all-new Mustang toenhance the driving experience.

Putting drivers in greater control of the open road, SelectableDrive Modes (SDM), allow them to toggle easily between normal,snow/wet, sport and track modes to quickly adjust steering effort,engine response, and transmission and electronic stability controlsettings.

And MyColor gauges and ambient lighting help drivers tocustomize the vehicle’s interior lighting color to their preferences.
